Apple Blossoms

When it's Apple Blossom time,
I can see the beauty bursting out,
The birds seem to feel it's Spring,
As they're flying all about.

The white Doves are always ready,
For the old truck of beauty,
She's been a flower planter for years,
And faithful at her duty.

I'd say she's like a family heirloom,
Passed from long ago.
From family to family,
And truly a treasured show.

She is like a family member,
We just think she's great,
Filled with Apple Blossoms,
Standing by the gate.

It's a real sight to see,
She's covered all in pink,
More beautiful than even a lady,
That's all wrapped up in mink.

We look forward to Springtime,
To show her to the world,
Most passing by stop to stare,
As staring at a pretty girl.

They are so amazed how lovely,
As they walk around to see
The beauty of things so old,
As an old car can be.

All things have their place,
In this world of many things,
Some people call it junk,
But to others the joy it brings.

I like to see if I can restore,
Things that are thrown away,
Furniture that seems so useless,
Brought back to life someday.

Things we treasure most,
Are things we've restored,
Because we put our hearts in it,
It makes the value so much more.

Like a table with water stains,
The top all warped and cracked,
But time in sanding and filling,
Can bring its beauty back.

People are kind of like that,
We get beaten down and worn,
But with some faith and prayer,
Our life can be restored.
