The Bird's Haven
When we see a forest,
Or a fence row in a field,
We think of only two things,
Bird's safety and the young it will yield.

The forest and the fence rows,
Are havens for the birds,
With singing songs of happiness,
Though we don't understand their words.

The trees are a sanctuary,
Where birds will congregate,
And fellowship with each other,
And sing from dawn till late.

The nightingales will sing all night,
They think they have the floor,
Not to be bothered by the others,
As they try to up the score.

I guess they're all in competition,
Like all other living beings,
But the best thing they can do,
Is just sing their loveliest,
In honor of the King.

High in the tree tops,
The birds of every kind,
Will fly from tree to tree,
Until the perfect tree they find.

Birds of all species will find a mate,
Like all other living things,
Raise a family and watch for those,
For harm that some might bring.

To sit beneath a tree and listen,
To the melody of it all,
Will set your heart to joy unthinkable,
As you hear their mating call.

If you raise your window by your bedside,
They will sing you off to rest,
And before you know the sun is up,
And they will sing for you their best.

The Mocking Bird is very protective,
So be prepared for her to guard,
That precious nest of eggs,
In whatever tree is in the yard.

She loves her unborn babies,
And is scared of not even one,
She is only interested in protecting,
Those babies that she loves.

Blue Jays are lovely birds,
But selfish when it comes to food,
She will watch over her meals,
And guard it Oh so good.

But all birds are beautiful,
There are red, blue, and brown,
Tropical ones of many colors,
A Parrot, yellow and green,
Wearing a lovely crown.

There is nothing more relaxing,
Than to hear them sing their songs,
Chirping sweet and softly,
I could listen to them all day long.
