Comfort In My Lord

Lord I am ever so weary,
Trials are long and hard,
Tears fill my eyes Jesus as,
I seek Your Reward.

I kneel beside my bed,
Searching as I pray,
I need to be nearer Lord to,
See the glow of day.

Heartaches bear upon me,
Weakness rises in waves,
I need You Lord to help me,
It is Your closeness I crave.

Open my eyes Father,
That I'll more readily see,
The path to walk daily,
Bringing You nearer to me.

Days have become cloudy,
You are my Sun in the sky,
Your Love rays warm me,
Then my spirits can fly.

I long to rest in Your Presence,
Have Your Holy Power surround,
Pilot my ship precious Lord,
Safe from running aground.

Lift me o'er the hurdles,
Keep my strength flowing,
Let Your beacon shine Lord and,
The winds of change blowing.

I love You my Lord and Master,
Thank You for the time spent,
Lifting and holding me Lord,
Through each hour of torment.

Though there are tears in the darkness,
Lasting all during the night,
Comfort from the Father above gives,
Joy with dawn's breaking light.
