"Diamond Ship"

Never has there been anything more beautiful
Than the Diamond Ship of jewels.
Rubies, diamonds and emeralds,
And perfection was the rule.

Only would this beauty fit,
A lady with dignity and charm,
With elegance and beauty,
With a diamond bracelet on her arm.

All dressed up to celebrate the New Year,
And go out on the Town,
To a New Year's Party wearing,
A lovely sparkling gown.

Any man would be honored,
To appear somewhere with such a beauty,
And it would certainly lift her spirits,
Being treated for being such a Cutie.

A night to celebrate a brand new start,
For things you hope will be,
To make the changes you wish to make,
And new things we may see.

Most of all to be the citizen you desire,
To help those worse off than we,
As we focus on the sick and homeless,
And our freedom continues to be.

A New Year can bring us new beginnings,
That we cannot yet see,
Like hope for peace and freedom,
And our military home and free.

Our hopes and dreams and prayers,
Are the best tools we can use,
To make this year the very best,
By God's leadership, we can never lose.

We'll keep a prayer in our hearts,
As the bells bring in the New Year,
That this will be truly a time,
For laughter, joy, and cheer.

We'll only hope for all good things,
As we face the next four seasons,
And remember all things that happen,
Happens for a reason.
