Easter Is Special To Me

What a beautiful day,
The sun is ever so bright,
The rays warm my heart,
Like Jesus holding me tight.

Today is a special day,
Easter is when Christ arose,
He came right out of that grave,
The soldiers were afraid I suppose.

Sister and I love to take flowers,
Place them at a Cross,
It is our way of thanking Jesus,
He saved us when we were lost.

I am His precious child now,
Even thought I'm small,
Jesus loves His children,
Lifts us up when we fall.

Sister always brings her lamb,
She loves Jesus so much too,
I take my Bible and little Cross,
We have Easter Service like you.

I love the colored eggs at Easter,
Bright and pretty is the dye,
It makes me think of God and,
The rainbow He put in the sky.

The Chocolate bunny we get is,
Sweet and makes us smile,
Like when we talk of Jesus and,
That's always worthwhile.

Hunting the eggs makes me think how,
Jesus must feel looking for His lost sheep,
The prize is worth the time spent,
Because it is something you want to keep.

I'm so happy Jesus found me and,
He washed my sins away,
Forever I will love my Jesus,
I am very thankful for Easter Day.

If He did not come out of that grave,
Where would I be today?
I would not have Jesus as my Saviour or,
Have a home in Heaven someday.

Come on Sister it is time to go,
We must not wait too long,
I want to go praise Jesus and,
Listen to you sing a pretty song.

Now don't you forget about Easter,
Enjoy time with family around,
Remember the day is when,
Jesus' spirit really abound.
