The Effects of Nature

Casually walking through the park one day,
I noticed all the ways people entertain themselves,
I saw children playing in the shade of trees,
Like a bunch of little elves.

Some were having picnics,
Enjoying a day in the sun,
It wasn't all that hot that day,
Just a beautiful day for fun.

I myself was just leisurely relaxed,
Not worrying about a thing,
Just feeling good to be alive,
Enjoying what nature brings.

It's such a joyful thing to be,
In a place of perfect serenity,
Where all is well and happiness is,
A free gift to share with a community.

The park is lovely like a carpet so soft,
With thick green grass all trimmed and clean,
And with the sun shining through the trees,
Leaves a big golden beam.

The grass is green and the air is pure,
The day is perfect for outings,
A day to watch the children play,
And share their fun as they go shouting.

They must have known this was my place,
Just perfect for this bench,
I could sit here until the moon came up,
And never even blink.

A park bench in just the spot,
To see a clear view,
Of the sky between the trees,
And just a soft film of blue.

I use to like to look for four leaf clovers,
To make my wish come true,
Of course I really didn't think,
That, that is what the clover would do.

We use to look for them for fun,
Just a fun thing while enjoying the outside,
Along with collecting pretty leaves,
And chasing pretty butterflies.

The effects the outside brings,
Are remarkable on your life,
It gives you relaxation,
A way to relieve your strife.

When Fall arrives and leaves turn red,
That's the time to enjoy nature,
To walk among the floating leaves,
From those lovely red leaf Maples.

Each tree has it's own leaves,
And the color they will be,
When the wind gets cool and brisk,
And they fall in color from their tree.

It's October now and frost will come real soon,
We've had a lot of rain this year,
But it will soon be gone,
And we will find old Winter is very near.
