Flamboyant Flamingos

As the waters cover the seas,
And the Palm trees touch the flowing,
Sunlight way up high Flamboyant,
Flamingos are always glowing.

How they stand alone these richly,
Brilliantly recognizable,
Birds with their bright Pinkish plumage,
And raspy honking audible.

They are the very noisy bird,
Quite the social ones curious,
Living in groups to ten thousands,
Being very gregarious.

Flamingos live together in,
Large Colonies year after year,
In lagoons or lakes far inland,
And even close to a sea near.

They are unique birds having long,
Graceful lean curved necks and they love,
To feed on shrimp which colors their,
Feathers Pink which we're in awe of.

And their ritualized displays add,
To their showy impressiveness,
With head flagging and wing salute,
The twist-preen of aggressiveness.

Again Flamingos are very,
Flashy unrestrained and fancy,
To sleep standing on one leg to,
Conserve warmth in elegancy.

When the morning sun rises o'er,
The jade green waters of a lake,
It is like a curtain lifted,
Spreading pink wings wide that awake.

The courtship ceremony is,
Colorful revealing a vast,
Flock of Flamingos flaunting their,
Vibrant feathers while marching past.

How they bob and dance, run across,
The water and take to the air,
Landing again repeating o'er,
Their excited babblings they share.

Yes Flamboyant Flamingos are just,
That richly colorful in all,
Life as they can be for they are,
Strikingly beautiful and tall.
