Fuchsias
And Jewels
Luscious
Fuchsias
and Flying
Jewels,
Depend on
one another,
And will
do all they
can do to
please,
Just to
attract
each other.

Hummingbirds
are the
tiniest
birds,
And the
most fascinating,
Iridescent
Jewels that
will visit,
You all
aglow attracting.

Hummingbirds
or Flying
Jewels as,
The Spanish
explorers
named,
Them tend
to spend
more time
extracting,
Nectar from
Fuchsias
as claimed.

These tiny
bits of
non stop
vim and,
Vigor glow
neon fire,
Power diving,
flying backwards
and,
Forwards,
hovering
higher.

They move
instantaneously
in,
Any direction
starting,
From perch
to perch
at full
speed without,
Slowing
up to land
darting.

They fly
short distances
upside down,
A trick
rollover
employed,
When being
attacked
by another,
Bird to
keep at
bay, avoid.

Their most
astonishing
quality,
Is their
ability
to,
Broadcast
color winking
on and off,
Radiating
in debut.

This allows
them to
flash colors
or,
Hide them
which is
good for
males,
Who want
to threaten
other males
or,
Impress
dazzling
the females.

Luscious
Fuchsias
project
their trumpet,
Shaped blossoms
into the
air,
In the open
to accommodate,
Jewels long
bills with
a flair.

Sun in the
morning
and shade
throughout,
The mid
day and
then some
more,
Sun in the
late afternoon
is how,
The Fuchsias
make blossoms
soar.

The beauty
of Fuchsias
might lead
you,
To believe
they love
the sun,
Less stressful
is partial
shade for
blooms,
To thrive
as the day's
begun.

This flower's
lusciousness
should tell
you,
Those are
ideal conditions,
For the
Hummingbirds
as well
since they,
Need shade
to perch
on missions.

It seems
these tubular
Fuchsias
are,
Nectar rich
in the sunlight,
Or shade,
Jewels feed
on all colors,
But Red
is their
favorite.

Hummingbirds
may visit
more than
one,
Thousand
flowers
every day,
For fuel
and energy
powering,
Their fastest
wing beats
display.

Luscious
Fuchsias
and Flying
Jewels,
Depend on
one another,
And will
do all they
can do to
please,
Just to
attract
each other.
