Gingerbread Baby

I'm the Gingerbread Baby wanting,
To help you one strange dark night,
Called Halloween that seems to have its,
Magic and its awful fright.

Yes it's Autumn Time too with Golden,
Cornstalks and Bright Orange Pumpkins,
Made up like Jack-O-Lanterns and those,
Witches with snaggled toothed grins.

Put on a big smile just like me and,
Light candles to guide your way,
For Jesus is the Light of the World,
Shed your fear, with Him today.

May the Good Lord deliver you from,
Things that go bump in the night,
Even ghostly goblins, howling screams,
As He shines His Bright Love Light.

I'm here too just putting on one big,
Happy face for you 'cause you,
Won't be alone all by yourself that,
Scary night with ghosts that Boo.

October's the month when the smallest,
Breeze showers the Autumn Leaves,
And the cold wind's wild with whispers as,
Shadows hang o'er hallow eves.

Tiptoeing cat paws slide and creep when,
Black cats run up and down trees,
Jumping in the wet and slimy pile,
To climb out from under leaves.

It's but a night of rustling leaves that,
Fly across the open sky,
As the wind howls and moans restlessly,
Breezing by and drawing nigh.

Hey it's me Gingerbread Baby and,
I'll help you that night of frights,
Halloween night that seems to have its,
Magic for trick or treat nights.

I believe in talking to the Lord,
Just ask Him what's right for you,
To do this last night of October,
He'll guide your steps and heart too.

So put on a big smile today and,
Light candles to guide your way,
For Jesus is the Light of the World,
Shed your fear, with Him today.

Now clap your hands, be happy and don't,
Be afraid, for the Lord walks,
With you wherever you go beneath,
Night's October sky that talks.

I'm the Gingerbread Baby saying,
Invite friends over, have fun,
Enjoy treats, as you get together,
Sing joyous songs of the Son.
