Happy Thanksgiving

On this day as we gather to remember
The wonder of God's love,
Our hearts join as one together
To glorify our Lord above.

For there are very special treasures
We appreciate with love,
The abundant blessings we receive-
Always more than just enough.

The delight of dearest friends,
Our family, where love is the key,
That opens wide the door
Of joy for you and me.

And if today, I should seek to make
A Thanksgiving recipe,
What might I want to pray
For the tender heart of thee.

Might I fossick through the forest
For all it's goodness sweet,
Uncover georgeous colors
To create you such a treat.

Would I climb on high for gentleness
To unearth jewels beyond reach,
Somewhere far above the stars
Or upon a peaceful beach.

Might I discover every loveliness,
For only perfect peace would do,
To make a Thangsgiving blessing
For the precious heart of you.

Shall I journey down a valley deep
In prayer, to wend my way,
To pluck the most delicious
Delight that I could gain.

Yes, everywhere I'd find God's goodness,
All His blessings tumbling down,
Like our gift of friendship
And love to share around.

The birds all chirping for us
In each day's warm sunshine,
The Earth receiving showers
And blooming mighty fine.

Our tables piled with daily bread,
Abundance to share abroad,
With a cozy home out of the cold-
For these, we Thank the Lord.

While we pray for all in deepest hunger
And alone within the night,
May they be touched by angel care-
God's love relieve their plight.

And for you my loving friend,
This is what I surely pray,
For the windows of heaven to open
To pour blessings on your heart this day.

Poetry from the Heart

May your special day be filled
with rainbow blessings from above,
Wrapped with the forever love
of family and friends,
Held together with the
wonder of God'stender care,
Tied with beautiful ribbons
of warmest hugs to share,
And adorned with the sweetest
kisses of the ones you love the most.

How can I say thanks for the things you have done for me.
Things so undeserved, yet you give to prove your love for me.
The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be.I owe it all to Thee.
To God be the glory. To God be the glory.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me. With His pow'r He has raised me.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.
Just let me live my life. Let it be pleasing Lord, to Thee.
And should I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary.
With His blood He has saved me. With His pow'r He has raised me.
To God be the glory for the things He has done.
