"Two Little Hummingbirds"

Two little hummingbirds came calling
Hovering aloft,
Flying in the flowers,
I could feel their tiny waft.

I watched their gentle nature,
The wings of gentle hue,
The prettiest, yet brightest eyes
As back and forth they flew.

Two little hummers, came into my garden,
Oh, such a special gift,
A tender touch from heaven
And there I sat transfixed.

A little peck, a little reach,
With nary there a care,
Safe within their haven
God would have them share.

Two little hummers, came to me today,
I wanted so to touch,
The silver, gold and burnished bronze,
My feelings all a rush.

As there I saw my Jesus,
His character and heart,
The hand of love that made
His self to us, impart.

Two little hummers evanescence,
Revolving, whirling, still,
Every blossom glittering
Ruby, royal, emerald.

The sunlight glistened, flashing by
For me to see and hear,
In the tree, the flower bed,
Was it there, or over here.

Two little hummers, whispered very soft,
My Father, glistened in the mist,
He had them fly beside me-
His love, the silver kiss.
