Jim McPherson, Child Of God

Heaven's Gates opened wide while,
The Angel's Chorus sang,
Jim crossed Heaven's Portal as,
God called out his name.

Beloved Husband, Dad and Brother,
Son and Granddad cherished and adored,
Now held in the arms of Jesus
A new body now completely restored.

Hearts ache as tears cascade,
Minds just can't seem to comprehend,
A wonderful life now cut short,
Why too soon did it reach an end?

Hard worker and great provider,
Years of sweet wedded bliss,
Counselor and teacher to his children,
Jim will forever be missed.

Often took his Grandson to breakfast.
Granddaughters Oh, he loved those girls,
Took great pride in all his Children,
Wife, Daughters and Son were his world.

Jim was always out working,
Busy and happy as could be,
Helping others when needed,
He sowed God's love for others to see.

He stood tall in God's Garden,
Unselfish and a neighbor to all,
Responded quickly to lend a hand,
Jim would answer a needful call.

Emptiness will surely be felt by,
Those who knew this remarkable man,
He left a legacy of love and goodness,
In God's light Jim took his stand.

Mother and Father stood ready,
Their Son to welcome home,
Friends and Family gone before,
With Christ he'll not be alone.

Though his passing will be mourned,
Tears will oft-times flourish and fall,
Know in your hearts he was ready and,
He will greet you when your name is called.

Look to the Heavens and feel his love,
He will always be with you in heart,
Though his Earthly presence is gone,
His love from you will never part.

A man who lived his life in God's light,
Ever mindful of another's need,
Jim a flower in Heaven's Divine Garden,
He shined God's love with many deeds.
