"Ladybug Blossom"
'Twas just a little ladybug
Upon a blossom white,
Just a teeny weeny ladybug
Pausing in her flight.

Yet, what to me proclaiming
With wing emblazzened bright,
What gift is hers this moment
Of never ending light.

What message may she carry
Winging down from skies above,
Carried from the heart of God
Who fashioned her with love.

Painted with perfection
Each black dot circular,
That little dark proboscis
Doing as it's asked.

Oh, what secret's God unveiling
That tells me of His heart,
The fragility of life that's borne
Is that what she imparts.

Is each one made unique
Within the Father's plan,
In the molding of each detail
Unfolding from His hand.

For, how perfect is her bearing
How admired a ladybug,
Delightful is her color, form
The very way she comes.

Declaring in her glory
Insignificant, yet dear,
That days can yet be lived
Devoid of any fear.

Is that why we're endeared
To such a small and spotty bug,
That a rhyme is told so fondly
Of a Mother's tender love...

'Oh, ladybug, dear ladybug
Away, fly to your home,
Your house is all on fire
Your children all alone.'

And might we be inspired
Gazing at her there,
Calmly walking where she knows
With never any care.

Then, maybe that's the comfort
That no matter any ill,
The Father holds us all
So, we too can be still.

And walk on in His pathway
As a ladybug will do,
With a very special role to fill
God's call on me and you.
