Sea Of Loneliness

I reach beyond the billowing waves,
There God's Hand lifts me up o'er,
Giving sweet peacefulness to my soul,
The blackness recedes once more.

Memories' agonies float across,
My mind continually,
Drowning me in deep sorrow as I,
Mourn my lost love soulfully.

Being in a sea of loneliness,
Overwhelms with a heartache,
Black as the gigantic waves engulf,
Swallowing hope like a quake.

Yes God hears my hysteria cry,
As I see the ship sinking,
In haunting dreams so He steadies my,
Way beyond brinks menacing.

I'm lost without my love hurting as,
Angry indignation tries,
To sink me to bottom swallowing,
Me up and God hears my cries.

The sea, never silent waves into,
My world every day and night,
Like a dark cloud foreshadowing lost,
Love that was mine out of spite.

Yes God's Love covers me completely,
As my Anchor embracing,
Me closely for He's in the midst of,
These memories I'm facing.

How that angry sea threatens roaring,
Striking fiercely like lightning,
Heightening in the sky causing fear,
Sinister and frightening.

A sea of loneliness whips waves 'round,
Dangerously unstable,
Lifting high to spread over me while,
God helps me be strong, able.

I'm not alone as memories toss,
To overwhelm, submerge me,
As the water twists higher crashing,
And my heart pounds fearfully.

Life is relentless and persistent,
As I battle this black sea,
In mental suffering but to God,
I cry in my prayer and plea.

God is my hiding place, my present,
Help in trouble forever,
He delivers me from peril and,
I'm never alone, never.

Even as these memories float through,
My mind continually,
