Lonely Roads
I’ve walked down
some lonely roads,
Throughout my
years in life.
But never down
one quite as lonely,
As the one I've
walked tonight.

Life can be rewarding
and rich,
Depends on which
road we travel.
It can be a nice
smooth road,
Or one that’s
only gravel.

We make the choices
to do good,
Be friendly, loving,
and kind,
Or we might choose
the wrong way,
As walking through
life blind.

Our mind contains
many mysteries.
Why we do what
we do.
But no one can
make your life,
It all depends
on you.

My heart breaks
when I see,
Some one who can
not plan,
A life that has
some meaning,
And can not take
a stand.

What do you have
when all is lost,
And you must stand
alone?
Do you regret
the heartache
that you caused,
And all the things
that are gone?

Or, have all your
feelings gone
and left you?
And there’s nothing
left but tears.
That’s no way
to live a life,
You’ve wasted
all those years.

Stop and think
before you choose,
And you will surely
see,
The road to happiness,
Is Just the thing
you need.
