Minnie and Daisy Knitting

With you, my very special one
I knit with all my heart,
Rows and rows of loveliness
Right from the very start.

Slipping tender sweetness on
Loop by loving loop,
Ah, every stitch I think of you
As I ease the needle through.

Each row that forms is you and I
The joy and love we are,
Together we are knitting friendship
To warm our loving hearts.

The 'M' we read is Memorable
For we're knitting this to keep,
'Twill be for now and always
To wear eternally.

We knit in pearl, we knit in plain
The wonders of each day,
The color ever beautiful
In all we do and say.

Our special memoir knit wear
Will only fit us two,
Each treasured moment all our own
Enjoyed by me and you.

We cast off all that is not true
To make it fit just so,
The pattern that we follow
Is all God has us know.

The cables formed with gentle care
His bonds that hold us tight,
See, here's my knitting very soft
Made just the way we like.
