How can a little heart be hurting so, why, Oh why..
I feel afraid, and so alone,
Please, stay near, and help me know,
Where are you going, please don't go...

Enfold me close, be here, I need
Your love to hold and keep me warm,
To be secure, close within your heart,
Hurt, I cannot bear, my little soul
Is breaking all apart.

Why, Oh why would you, walk
Away, so far, far too far to see,
Can't you hear me, can't you know
This life you made for me to live
Wants you, needs you...near to be.

Can't you see my eyes, won't you look back
Just to look at me, I love you
Turn back, turn back, once
Just to glance, turn back, this way again
To look, turn back, to give
I need you here, to see me through.

Love must have a way
So I can walk life within your footprints
And learn how it is to say-
To not give up at all...

For tomorrow I will be crying
The day after I will weep without a sound
And every day forever more...

I will be too sad to feel
I will look upon my shattered heart
Raw and broken
Scattered all across life's floor.

And I will ask and keep on asking
(And then I will build myself a little wall)
With no-one here, to tell me why
What did I do..
The one who loved me so
Now wants to say goodbye.

Would you, could you, might you
Leave, with my heart, constrained to cleave.
Why should, then should, you e'er go
What then, I sit, born to grieve...
When then, set to, life impede
Do not ask then, why I plead.
Love me, hold me, keep me safe,
Here I sit, no love abates.
What then, if you, run, this day
Hearts don't mend, but ever bleed.
Keep me, love me, ever close
Never go, as one of those...
Be mine, cuddle, care for aye
I am, but yours, always.
