New Year's Snowman
Well the New Year
is here already,
I'm still hanging
around.
The children like
to run and play,
And roll snow
balls on the ground.

I'll be around
for quite a while,
As long as it
's cold outside.
I won't melt or
go away,
And I can't run
off and hide.

I'm stuck here
until the weather
warms,
Or someone tears
me down,
But as long as
I'm here,
I'll never wear
a frown.

I cheer the children
while out of school,
For all the Holidays.
They can have
fun with me,
In so many different
ways.

I'm dressed from
head to toe,
In red and sparkling
clothes,
With buttons for
my chest,
And a gumdrop
for my nose.

Raisins are placed
in for my eyes,
And tiny seeds
are for my mouth,
I'm all fixed
up for Winter,
But I don't, can't
think of going
South.

I love to see
them playing,
And they are kind
as they can be,
And nothing is
as sweet as that,
As when they show
their love for
me.

I feel I've made
a difference,
In children's
day of play,
When they come
around,
And I can hear
them say.

Frosty the Snowman
is our friend,
We make him look
just right,
He has a nice
suit on,
And wears his
hat so bright.

A neck tie of
bright red ribbon,
Gives him the
finishing touch,
But when the Winter
turns to Spring,
We'll miss him
Oh so much!
