Spirit Of The Golden Moon

All animals to me are special,
They bring joy and happiness to us all.
Sometimes we find that there are some,
Wild and frightening in their call.

The wolf is one of the dangerous species,
In spite of his beauty and size.
He that can kill when hungry or cornered,
He has strong and vicious eyes.

Some are particularly lovely,
Lying in the light of a golden moon.
It seems to add sharpness of spirit,
As he starts to hunger around noon.

Ready to hunt all through the woods,
To see if there might be some prey,
Not on guard for him to snatch,
And take the young away.

An animal killing another,
Somehow seems rather cruel,
But God put each creature here,
Some were meant to rule.

Lions are considered king of the jungle,
But for others that's not so,
Depending on the animal's nature,
And what those animals know.

There is always a leader in the pack,
That leads the others on,
Whether be it to attack another,
Or just to lead them out to roam.

They are really like a family.
They watch and care for their own.
There's always a sitter for the young,
In case the Mom is gone.

No matter how wild an animal,
They love their young the same.
They love as you and I do,
No matter what their name.

Be it deer or cattle or kittens or dogs,
They all have that instinct for love,
We all need to understand,
That love comes from Above.

A family is a family,
And no matter how far,
The parents will protect their young,
No matter where they are.

Be thankful for the animal world,
Without them life would be at loss,
They bring us pleasure in our homes,
And some become our boss.
