Swan Valley

There's a lovely Valley,
Not so far from where,
You can see a dream world,
When you're visiting there.

A lovely sunset in the distance,
With mountains dusty blue,
Brings out the color in everything,
To such a lovely hue.

A gazebo in the distance,
Where one can sit and dream,
Sunlight lighting the tips of grass,
Sparks them like a yellow beam.

A lovelier place must yet be found,
Than in this Valley of peace and quiet,
While all the while you take it in,
The Swans swim by so white.

They make me think of happy lovers,
In a place so dear,
That only here could they be happy,
Far from everything and yet so near.

No sounds from the City,
Not a thing to distract,
The feelings you get by being there,
Makes you ready to go back.

We might climb the highest mountains,
Or travel the open seas,
But nothing is quite as wonderful,
As this Valley is to me.

You feel a bit of heaven,
Trees and life just everywhere.
The Swans swimming by so slowly,
As though they have no care.

Big Oak trees standing there,
Shading the valley nice and quiet,
Some have stood a hundred years,
Making homes for animals each night.

It's such a comfort as you stand,
By the stream and hear,
Trickling water soft and sweet,
A peaceful calming sound to the ears.

If I could have my way,
I'd call this place my home,
But then it wouldn't quite be the same,
As visiting my comfort zone.

We need a special place to go,
When we are tired and need a rest,
And in this Valley full of Nature,
Most certainly is the best.
