Be still my soul and know He is God,
From the earliest of years,
He was filled with the Holy Spirit,
To save man, and He is yours.

Jesus was filled as no man before,
Him had been filled as God's Son,
In the desert with His Father He,
Planned His work for man 'til done.

So full was His union with God that,
For forty days He ne'er ate,
But then he felt hunger and faint like,
A man in a fasting state.

And that evil spirit satan knew,
This so he put just one thought,
In Jesus' mind, just as he does with,
Us..to make Him overwrought.

A thought he gave..You're the Son of God,
You can do whatever You,
Wish, why not command the stones into,
Bread to eat like you want to?

And Jesus knew He could do this but,
He knew also that power,
Had been given to help others not,
Himself and not for that hour.

Jesus said, "It is written in God's,
Book, man shall not live by bread,
Alone but by every word that comes,
Out of God's Mouth as you've read."

He then lead Jesus to a tower,
In Jerusalem..Now show,
All the people You're the Son of God,
To the ground throw yourself low.

In God's Book of Psalms..it says God will,
Give His angels charge o'er You,
To keep You from harm and prevent the,
Smashing of You on rocks too.

Jesus said, "It is written that you,
Shall not put the Lord your God,
To trial of His Power that would,
Not please God where e'er you trod.

That evil spirit satan tried to,
Lead Jesus in doing wrong,
Leading Him to the top of a high,
Mountain..in a vision strong.

Here were all the kingdoms of the world,
In all their glory that stand,
Before Jesus' eyes that could be His,
If He'd worship him as planned.

All these can be Yours..You will be king,
Of all the Earth if only,
You will kneel before me every day,
And worship me openly.

And then Jesus said to him, "Leave Me,
It is written that you will,
Worship the Lord your God and serve Him,
Only and obey Him still."

And when satan found that Jesus would,
Not listen, he left Him and,
Angels of God so ministered to,
Jesus in the desert land.
