To my Love

I just had to put into words,
Sitting here with you on my mind,
How much you mean to me,
For our love's a special kind.

Each time I dip my pen in ink,
It reminds me more and more,
How impossible it is to say with pen,
How much love is yet in store.

I'll never forget the moments,
When we were all alone,
With pain in my heart,
Knowing you'd soon be gone.

Some time I even feel guilty,
For loving you so much,
I sometimes feel so close to you,
I think I feel your touch.

One day we shall be together,
And separation will be no more,
I'll hold you close beside me,
As I turn to close the door.

I'll look forward to your returning,
You'll be gone for just a while,
And I can dream of seeing you again,
And that bright and cheerful smile.

Being with you is all I want,
The rest is in my dreams.
I know that you'll be with me soon,
You're all I need it seems.

I had a dream one night,
And I was all alone,
All I ever think about,
Is seeing you come home.

As life becomes less hectic,
We'll start our family,
The boy we'll name after his Dad,
The girl's name may be Emily.

We have our future ahead of us,
We'll make each moment count,
Doing things we all enjoy,
Like making a family camp.

I know that Daddy's boy,
Will look just like you,
With light brown hair,
And with your eyes of blue.

I have a feeling Emily will be blond,
And hazel eyes like me,
With a sweet and loving heart,
We'll have to wait and see.
