Wild Beauty

There is so much beauty in this world,
Few of us ever get to see.
Because they're in the wild,
For most we let them be.

There are wolves and tigers and many things,
We just don’t tempt to be our friends,
For they have their rule in the wild,
And we know who’s going to win.

They're beautiful to watch,
And make our heart just race,
To see them when up close,
The wild look on their face.

What would this world be though,
Without these fascinating beasts?
Our children would miss out on many things,
That were surely meant to be.

Don’t we wonder why some things are here,
What purpose would they have?
They were placed here for a reason,
In that there is no doubt.

We can see the animals in a zoo,
But that's just not the same.
For many have been caged for years,
Some seem almost tame.

In the wild though you might see,
An animal fight for food,
Or see him lying in the tall dry grass,
And looking so peaceful and so cool.

But they are not just resting,
They are waiting for a kill,
To see if there might be something,
Out there for their next meal.

It’s sad to see them kill their prey,
But that’s their way of life.
We all have to survive some way,
For us to stay alive.

Wolves have been a problem,
On many farms I hear.
They stalk farmer’s cattle and sheep,
Coming very near.

It’s so lovely to see them in the field,
A picture of majestic beauty,
So big and fiercely strong,
And never looking weary.

Always looking for a way,
To make their day exciting,
Never tiring of the wilderness,
Never tire of fighting.

Look deep into their eyes and you will see,
A wild and fearless face,
Just waiting for the right time,
To win another race.

Their speed is very good,
And sight as keen as it can be,
They spot their prey in seconds
In finding what they'll eat.

Though dangerous and wild,
They are beauty to the eye.
Piercing eyes and long white teeth,
Tells his prey that he will die.

His vision is keen with piercing eyes,
His hearing sharp and clear.
He is the master of his pack,
And no one dare go near.
